Ann Ayer, Artist

Many years ago, an interviewer asked a new 8th grade student, “What is your career goal?”
Ann answered, “I want to be an artist.”

Life and a business career intervened, so it is only in her mature years that she has been able
to truly indulge her passion.  In the meanwhile, Ann independently studied art and artists,
emulating the work of the Impressionists in her spare time.  She used her vacations to visit
major art museums of the world, and frequently visited art venues in NYC and DC.  She took art
classes at the Herron Institute of Art, the University of Richmond, and Virginia Commonwealth
University, and studied with David Sauer, Robert Brackman, and Albert Handell, among others.
Dedicated to enhancing her skills, Ann currently is a student of Curney Nuffer.

Ann’s work has received numerous ribbons and cash awards.  Her work is represented in many
private and corporate collections.
